Synchronization is a key element of any mobile network. With the advent of LTE-TDD, time synchronization has become of paramount importance for reliable mobile communications, and as reliance on 4G (and future 4.5G and 5G) networks grows, ensuring they are synchronized will be more important than ever.
On this webinar, we'll showcase the various ways in which a network should be deployed and describe the typical challenges you could face during and post-deployment. These challenges are often masked due to low or no traffic during deployment and due to inherent behavior of network devices to identify the synchronization issues post-deployment. We'll also look at the role of testing in the whole process, including how acceptance testing can help you identify issues and why you should perform a sync health check on your network.
We've partnered with timing and synchronization experts Calnex to deliver this webinar. There are three main things you will learn:
Tim is a specialist in next-generation synchronisation techniques, having worked with Zarlink Semiconductor, Symmetricom and now Calnex Solutions on packet-based synchronisation technologies. He is an active contributor to the ITU-T, and has also contributed to the AVnu Alliance, Small Cell Forum, Metro Ethernet Forum and IETF.
Tim has over 30 years of experience in the electronics and telecommunications industry, and is a Member of the IET and a Chartered Engineer.
