How Lab as a Service (LaaS) breaks down barriers to DevOps

Communication service providers (CSPs), network equipment providers (NEPs) and other IT businesses are adopting DevOps to build, test and release high-quality products and services more rapidly. These products and services often rely on complex technology ecosystems that span teams and suppliers. To achieve the benefits of DevOps, companies need a coherent approach to testing that supports the entire development and delivery process across both internal teams and supplier / ecosystem partners. Publishing complex testing requirements and then auditing adherence is simply too slow to support the objectives of DevOps. The Lab a a Service (LaaS) approach allows a coherent set of tests and a scalable test environment to be packaged up and provided as a web-based service. Leading IT businesses have adopted LaaS as a key enabler of their DevOps strategy, resulting in faster releases, improved quality and lower costs.

This webinar is targeted at CSP, NEP and IT executives with responsibility for DevOps transformations and teams that perform or rely on lab-based testing.

Webinar topics discussed:

  • Why telecom and IT test labs are so complex
  • Challenges with scaling and accessibility of labs across teams and suppliers
  • LaaS best practices and key requirements
  • LaaS case study: accelerating 5G network testing
